September Captain of the Month
Congratulations to Janie Forbis of Paducah, Kentucky, she has been nominated by her teammates and randomly selected to be recognized as USTA Adult League "Captain of the Month".  Janie has enjoyed USTA League tennis, the friends she has made and the competiveness of match play.  She had missed the competitive nature of sports as an adult and was very happy to find that again in league tennis.  To read more about Janie's family involvement and her favorite players, click here.

2014 Mixed Doubles State Championships
Thank you to the Frankfort Tennis Association for hosting this championship!  Players enjoyed welcoming volunteers, beautiful weather and a player luncheon on Saturday.  Congratulations to all the teams that participated, advancing from their local leagues to compete against teams from across the state.  The teams that will be advancing to play in the Southern Sectional Championships for the 18 and 40 & Over will travel to Mobile, AL October 10th - 12th and the 55 & Over teams to Little Rock, AR October 24th - 27th.  To view the team pictures, please click here.

40 & Over Southern Sectional Championships
Congratulations to all our players/teams that advanced to participate in the 2014 Sectional Championships in Mobile, AL and Asheville, NC.  Our players had a wonderful time competing against players from the other Southern states during the weekend of August 22 - 24 fighting against the excrutiating heat in Mobile while players enjoyed the beautiful mountains and cool evenings in Asheville.  Congratulations to the 4.0 Men, Garrison team from Louisville who played in the finals in Mobile and our 3.5 Men, Cooper team from Louisville who won the Sectional championship in Asheville!  Congratulate the Price Cooper team!  When you see them be sure to wish them luck as they advance to Tucson, AZ October 31 - November 2.  Read more about the 3.5 men's team that will be going to nationals in an article written at Sectionals and posted to the Southern 40 & Over webiste.

Tri-Level Championships
Congratulations to the teams that participated in the 2014 Kentucky State Tri-Level Championships, August 16th and 17th in Berea.  Everyone completed two matches on Saturday while enjoying a delicous cookout by the Berea College Women's tennis team.  The weather was picture perfect to play tennis.  Unfortunately on Sunday, the rain put a damper on play.  Match format was altered to try to beat the inevitable rain that promised to stop play.  All matches on Sunday played an eight game pro set to complete their rounds.  Some of the team winning pictures are available, others will be updated as they are received (due to rain).  Thank you to Allen Jackson and his women's tennis team for a very nice weekend.

55 & Over Teams Advancing to Southern Sectionals
