Since June of 2017, the Star Hitters Junior tennis program has been impacting the California community in the west-end of Lousiville, in more ways than one.
Tennis coach and volunteer, Sonya Harward, has always had a heart for bringing tennis to kids that may not otherwise have ever been introduced to the sport. Sonya has been an active volunteer with USTA-KY for almost a decade and heavily involved with junior team tennis and the Frankfort Tennis Association.
In her recent move from Frankfort to Louisville, Sonya very quickly decided she wanted to bring tennis to underserved youth and teamed up with the Louisville Area 10 and Under Tennis Association to make that happen.
