The Metcalfe Tennis Tradition lives, their banner proudly carried by Konnor Gallagher to the state tournament, the third straight year for Konnor, the fifteenth (yes, 15...2003-2017) consecutive year that Metcalfe tennis has qualified one or more players for the state tournament. That is a winning tradition, unlike any other sport and beyond that the sixteenth straight year (2002-2017) the Lady Hornets placed fifth or better in their 16 team region.
