Pride Promotes Participation

That’s what the kids at Warren Central High School (WCHS) in Bowling Green feel.

Raise a Racquet provided funds to the WCHS tennis team to purchase uniforms and needed equipment.

Adam Wilkens, first year coach, didn’t even know the last time the team had uniforms.  “The uniforms made the kids feel part of something important and giving them a sense of pride.  A feeling that they were part of something bigger” says Wilkens.

The past season saw a consistent 30 kids participating in this no cut sport.  With Raise a Racquet's investment in the team, the players performed much better because they felt supported!

Students that are involved in an after-school program show enhance performance in the classroom.  Truly a win - win!

Wilkins is looking forward to seeing continued growth in the years to come.

Go Dragons!
