President's Letter February 2022

Dear Tennis Community

I am honored to serve as Kentucky's USTA president for the next two years. On behalf of USTA, I first want to offer my appreciation to Mike Eden for his outstanding leadership during a time of exceeding uncertainty. His passion for the  game and clear direction during his tenure has continued to propel USTA on a strong path forward.

Over the past two years, the association has faced numerous hurdles, but we were able to adjust. We pressed forward through the adversities of the time with dedication to the sport we love, and we were able to continue our programs for all ages and levels across the state. Tennis is alive and well in Kentucky! The excitement and commitment shared by our players, our CTAs, our Board, and our staff, have paved the way for an increasingly determined focus on our mission of growing the game of tennis.

We know that 2022 will continue to bring challenges, but I am confident that with our determination, inclusivity, and passion, we will overcome these challenges and achieve great success. I am counting on you to help us to stay focused and engaged in providing an amazing experience to our membership and community. Our goal is to learn from past experiences, persevere, and to focus squarely and with optimism on our strengths: our community, our family, our friends, our health, and of course… tennis!
