Adult and Junior beginner programs
Tennis is a no touch sport offering safe summer fun
Below are guidelines to help get you started, but feel free to adjust the program to meet
your local needs and guidelines.
6 Week Program – 1 hour sessions
On-Court Instruction with limited number of participants to ensure safe play distancing
Adult Program 6 participant limit
Youth Program (under age 10) 8 participant limit (due to the shorten court set up)
Adult Participants will learn how to play the game of tennis in a group with others at the same beginner level. Instruction includes volley, serve (each participant will receive their own can of balls to mark and use each week during serve instruction), overhead, scoring, and match play.
Youth Participants will participate in fun on court instructional activities.
These programs are designed to be a safe, fun learning experience for everyone.
Cost:
$60 per adult – includes one can of balls per participant
$50 per youth
USTA Kentucky will provide
- Coaches training – webinars and online instructional information
- Net Generation registration information
- Promotional flyer customizable to your program specifics (date, time, location)
- Jotform participant registration if needed – Program administrator to collect all fees
- Upon completion of a program, Park Department and/or CTA will be entered to win a $200 Amazon gift card each. Two Park Departments and two CTA’s winners will be drawn on October 30, 2020.
Your Responsibility as a Program Administrator – CTA or Park Department:
- Select and submit program dates to USTA Kentucky – email klonnemann@gmail.com
- Identify and secure program instructors
- Assure that coaches know your program’s COVID-19 Safe Play Guidelines. (Attached)
- Promote program – promotion through CTA and/or Park Department
- Collect Payment – profits to be held by program administrator
- Send all program participant information to USTA Kentucky at the conclusion of each program. – email klonnemann@ustaky.com
