Chou, Du, Klein, and Miller star at Ryan Holder State Championship

In one of the deepest fields in the state, four players were able to take both singles and doubles titles at the Ryan Holder Closed State Championship in Lexington.  Brandon Chou was the only male player to accomplish the feat in the Boys 18s division.  Chou partnered with Alex Horn for the doubles titles.  Anna Du continued her strong play in the 10s division by winning both singles and doubles.  Haley Klein cemented her spot at #1 by winnng twice in Girls 14s, and Amanda Miller partnered with her sister to win Girls 16s doubles and then fought through a tough draw to win Girls 18s doubles.  Other singles winners were Jacob Holland (Boys 10s), Eric Ormsby (Boys 12s), Alex Englund (Boys 14s), Eli Wood (Boys 16s), Alana Sims (Girls 12s), and Michelle Lancaster (Girls 16s).

Ecarma and Rueff rule 14's division at LIRC August Junior Championship

Landon Ecarma and Claire Rueff, both Top 5 players in the 12U age division, jumped up in age to win titles in the 14's division at the LIRC August Junior Championship.  Ecarma did not drop a game in his 2 matches and Rueff only lost 3 games on her way to the championship.  Other winners at the event were Colin McPeek (Boys 12s) and Anna Du (Girls 12s). 

Koch and Bell take titles at JD Heartland Series #4

Hayden Koch and Rachel Bell took home their first titles in the JD Heartland Series, winning in the Boys and Girls 12s divisions.  Bell fought through 3 sets to win the girls title over Erin Riney.  Hayden Koch saved his best tennis for the final, winning in straight sets 4-0, 4-1 to win his championship.  

Jordan Hammett sweeps through to title at Hoptown HOT Summer Tournament

Jordan Hammett nearly pulled off an impressive double at the Hoptown HOT Summer Tournament, winning Boys 14s and finishing runner-up in Boys 16s.  Hammett won both his 14's matches in straight sets and then won his first match 6-0, 6-0 in Boys 16s before dropping 2 close sets to Brady Bilyeu in the finals.  Mary Ella Brown also took home a singles title in Girls 16s, winning both of her matches in straight sets as well.
