KENTUCKY GIRLS VAULT UP THE 14U
SOUTHERN RANKINGS

Beckman, Gallagher, and Charney make claim as best trio in the South!
Three girls from Kentucky are making their claim as potentially the best trio in the Southern section in the 14U divisions. Carrie Beckman (Louisville), Olivia Gallagher (Georgetown), and Emma Charney (Louisville) have each blasted their way into the Top 15 of the South thanks to early strong results in 2017. Last weekend, Beckman bested Gallagher in the finals of the Southern Level 1-A in North Carolina while Charney made it to the quarterfinals. Those results moved Beckman into 4th, Gallagher into 5th, and Charney to 14th in the most recent Southern rankings.
Beckman has already made the quarterfinals of a Southern Level 1 event in January and a Southern Level 1-A event in February to go along with her championship performance last weekend. She has also won a double event with Charney at a Southern Level 1-A event.
Gallagher not only finished runner-up in the singles draw of last weekend’s Level 1-A but also made the quarterfinals of a National Level 3 event in January and the quarterfinals of another Level 1-A in February.
Charney’s results have been equally as impressive, including winning the doubles event at a Southern Level 1-A in February, being a finalist in singles at the same event and her quarterfinal appearance last weekend.
All 3 players are ranked in the Top 5 in Kentucky in the Girls 16U division as well as Top 100 in the Southern Section in the 16’s. Congrats to all three on incredibly performances so far this year!
