Combo Doubles State Championships need your help!
October 20 - 22, 2017 in Lexington. Local teams if possible will play a match on Thursday the 19th in the evening. This will all depend on the teams from Lexington that register in the same age/NTRP division. Volunteers will be needed mostly for Friday 20th through Sunday 22nd.
Sites include: Shillito Park, UK, Lexington Christian Academy, Frederick Douglas H.S. and possibly Midway College.
Duties would include being on site with the players, having fun, putting matches on court, taking scores when they come off, just generally having a great day watching tennis and mingling with your fellow tennis player!
If you are intersted in helping out, here are the different opportunites:
Site Director
- Be responsible for one site all three/two days, opening the site, making sure all courts are ready for play, no trash, etc...on courts. Putting out score devices unless they are already out, setting up site table where captains check in. Getting the lineup cards ready for each match, taking scores and making sure captains sign-off on scores. Sending the scores to person responsible for score entry that day.
- If you have friends that would want to volunteer with you, schedule them to cover different times throughout the weekend.
Shift Volunteer
- 2,3,4 hours at a site helping put matches on court, taking scores, generally just having a good time with your fellow tennis players.
