Community Tennis Associations (CTAs) are not for profit volunteer-based tennis organizations that support or provides tennis programming to areas throughout Kentucky to promote and develop the growth of tennis. Currently KY has 25 active CTAs servicing their respective communities which are geographically defined by the zip codes they service. CTAs provide both local and USTA tennis programs such as school programs, 10 and Under Tennis, Junior Team Tennis, Adult League and tournaments to name a few.

In Kentucky, CTAs are rated either as Gold, Silver or Bronze level. With each level comes certain requirements and benefits. To view the CTA rating system, click here. To become a gold level CTA is a very difficult task as it requires multiple USTA tennis programming offerings, participation and growth goals to be exceeded, CTA representatives to participate in all necessary state trainings and extensive records kept and reviewed by the state office in terms of the CTA's federal not for profit status. Currently KY has 6 CTAs that have achieved Gold Level status! They are: Elizabethtown Tennis Commission, Georgetown Tennis Association, Henderson Tennis Club, Louisville Area "10 and Under" Tennis Association, Louisville Tennis Association and Owensboro-Daviess County Tennis Association.
